Although the structure of heavy-duty pallet racks is simple, consisting only of column pieces and crossbeams, they have strong load-bearing capacity, simple and reliable structure, strong impact resistance, and much lower procurement costs than other types of heavy-duty racks. Therefore, they are widely used in the warehousing industry. Next, we will specifically explain other characteristics of heavy-duty pallet racks.
1. The storage of goods on heavy-duty pallet shelves is mainly completed through storage equipment. Goods are widely stored on pallets, and then transported to designated locations on the shelves for storage by storage forklifts and other equipment;
2. Heavy duty pallet racks can pick up goods and inventory from the front and back directions, thus achieving a first in, first out storage mode. However, due to the need to reserve a certain width of passage between every two sets of racks, the space utilization rate of heavy duty pallet racks is relatively low. In order to solve the problem of low space utilization, heavy-duty pallet racks have evolved into narrow aisle racks and double depth racks. Both types of racks have higher space utilization than heavy-duty pallet racks, but they require specialized storage forklifts. In addition, double depth racks cannot achieve a first in, first out storage mode, so there is a trade-off;
3. The crossbeam of heavy-duty pallet shelves can be adjusted in height, up and down at a distance of 75mm. Simply remove the safety pin, knock out the crossbeam joint with a hammer, adjust the crossbeam to the appropriate height, then clamp it to the column, press it firmly with a hammer, and finally hang the safety pin. The function of the safety pin is to prevent the crossbeam from falling off when the shelf is impacted;
4. The crossbeam type has strong load-bearing capacity, usually above 500kg per floor, and can reach a height of more than ten meters;
5. Heavy duty pallet shelves do not have shelves, but if needed, shelves can be added by adding wooden shelves, steel shelves, and mesh shelves to store pallets of different sizes.
